ISH monthly masterclass "Ericksonian hypnotherapy: seeking a way from suffering to healing" Wed, 17 May 2023 I 17-20 CEST by Marta Nowak Kulpa

The workshop will present ways to help critically ill patients find the power to recover. Based on cases of treating hospital patients, Ericksonian therapeutic techniques that use the present state to create needed change will be demonstrated.

In the workshop, the participants will learn to

- Use and create healing stories that soothe and nourish strength

- Practical techniques used for postoperative healing with care for pain control

- Use Ericksonian techniques and healing metaphors to support a terminally ill patient

Marta Nowak-Kulpa is an Ericksonian psychotherapist and psychologist who works in her own practice and at the Cancer Center of Maria Sklodowska-Curie Institute in Gliwice/Poland.

At the Department of Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery, she works daily with hospitalized patients and as a member of the reconstructive team (which performed the world's first life-saving face transplant in 2013).

She is the author of the book "Tales from Another Fairy Tale.”

Indigenous Psychology with Dr. Leslie Gray - May 6-7, 2023, 1-4 PM PDT

This four-part, four-season seminar will serve as an introduction to Indigenous psychology both from an Indigenous point of view and in cross-cultural comparison. It will begin with a broad perspective, examining the role of Indigenous psychology in human evolution. It will feature examples that reveal universalities in the evolution of consciousness while respecting that which is culture-specific. Through didactic, narrative and experiential teaching methods, we will explore the 4 global indigenous questions: Who are we?", "Where are we?"."

What are we doing?", and "Who's going to clean up?"
